Tänään herättiin aikaisin, koska minä menin kahdeksaksi parturiin ja Piukku jonnekin leirille. Kahdeksitoista mentiin kaupunkiin, ja minä ostin Sokokselta Mabuchi RS-380S sähkömoottorin (32 mk) ja kaksi 4,5 voltin paristoa (5,30 kpl). Sitten mentiin isän töihin, ja kun tultiin kotiin, menin vähäksi aikaa ulos ja ajoin Korpelan mopolla. Illalla rupesin tekemään RC-autoa. Laitan uuden moottorin siihen.

Today we woke up early, as I went to get my hair cut at eight, and Piukku went to a camp of some kind. At noon we went to town, and I bought a Mabuchi RS-380S electric motor (32 marks) and two 4.5 volt batteries (5.30 a piece) from Sokos¹. Then we visited dad's workplace, and after we got home, I went out for a while and rode Korpela's moped. In the evening I started working on an R/C car. It will use the motor I just bought.

Tänään menin heti aamulla ulos korjaamaan mopon moottoria (vm. -62, jonka ehkä ostan Iirolta 15 mk:lla). Sitten pelattiin jalkapalloa pihalla ja iltapäivällä lentopalloa 1. kerran tänä vuonna.

Isä tuli Saksasta tiistaina ja toi minulle 12V:n 6Ah:n akun, jossa on väliulosotot (2 ja 6 V) ja laturin siihen. Minä laitoin ne Rommelin runkoon, jota aloitin jo 7.11. Siihen laitoin myös RS-380S -moottorini¹. Aion päällystää laivan 1mm vanerilla².

This morning I went out to fix a modep engine (from 1962, which I perhaps buy from Iiro for 15 marks). Then we played soccer in the yard and in the afternoon we played volleyball for the first time this year.

Dad came from Germany and brought a 12V 6Ah battery, which had outputs also for 2 and 6 volts, and a charger for it. I put it into the chassis of the Rommel ship I started working on November 7th. I also put the RS-380S motor into it¹. I plan to use 1mm plywood as hull plating².
