Tänään menin taas aamusta ulos, ja maalasin Rommelin mastot mustiksi. Eilen olin tehnyt mastot valmiiksi. Iltapäivällä heiteltiin tikkaa, ja minä purin lentokoneen ohjaamon¹.

Friday

I again went outside this morning, to paint the masts of the Rommel black. Yesterday I had finished building the masts. In the afternoon we threw darts, and I disassembled my cockpit simulator¹.

Lauantai

Tänään lähdettiin kymmeneltä ajelemaan Helsinkiin. Koska oli niin hieno ilma, lähdettiin klo. 17 saareen. Jo matkalla saareen meni toisen potkurin yksi lapa poikki. Saaressa katkesi toinenkin lapa, joten toinen potkuri oli 2 ja toinen 4-lapainen. Kun olin vähän aikaa ajellut, toin Rommelin ylös, ja sitten Nenne vahingossa hajotti 2-lapaisen potkurin lopullisesti ja samalla katkaisi peräsimen. Illalla tehtiin uusi potkuri lyijystä¹ ja samalla korjattiin peräsin. Liima lainattiin joltakin.

Saturday

Today at ten we started driving towards Helsinki. As the weather was nice, at 5pm we went to our island cottage. During the boat trip one blade of one propeller broke off. While on the island another blade broke off, so it now had one 2-blade and one 4-blade propeller. After I had driven it a while, I took the Rommel back up, and then Nenne accidentally broke the remaining blades off and also broke one of the rudders. In the evening we made new propellers from lead¹ and fixed the rudder. Borrowed glue from some neighbor.
