Lauantai

Tänään oli melko tyyni päivä, ja aurinko paistoi kuumasti, joten Anu, Piukku ja minä lähdimme soutuveneellä kiertämään molemmat Punakarit¹. Yhteensä matkaa kertyi yli 4 km:a ja aikaa meni vajaa 3 tuntia. Mahinnousimme Länsi-Punakarilla. Iltapäivällä alkoi vähän tuulla, ja minä soutelin kumiveneellä ja suunnittelin lentotukialusta². Isä sai eilen turskan, joka painoi 3200 g.

July 10th, 1982
Saturday

Today was a rather calm day, and the sun was shining hot, so Anu, Piukku and myself set out on a rowing boat to tour both the Rödhälle islands¹. In total we travelled over 4 km, and the trip took a bit less than 3 hours. We landed on the western island. In the afternoon the wind picked up, and I took the rubber dinghy out and then did some plans for an aircraft carrier². Yesterday Dad caught a cod weighing 3200 grams.

Sunnuntai

Tänään oli tyyni päivä, ja uitin taas Rommelia. Isä otti valokuviakin. Noin klo. 17:00 Ikäheimoset lähtivät mantereelle. Sen jälkeen Piukku, Mummu, Isä, Pappa ja minä menimme Itä-Tontulle¹, ja kiertelimme siellä. Löysimme sieltä pöytiä, tuoleja, perunoita, munia, pulloja, kirjoja jne². Kun tulimme kotiin, oli verkkoon³ tarttunut pieni lintu, ja me päästimme sen vapaaksi.

Isä sai aamulla turskan, joka painoi 3600 g.

July 11th, 1982
Sunday

Today was a calm day, and I again played with the Rommel. Dad again took pictures. At around 5pm the Ikäheimonen family went back to the mainland. After that Piukku, Grandma, Dad, Grandpa and myself went to the Itätoukki¹ and walked around the island. We found tables, chairs, potatoes, eggs, books, etc². After getting back to our cottage, we found a small bird had gotten caught in our fishing net³, so we freed it.

Dad caught a cod weighing 3600 grams this morning.

2. Saari on asumaton ja melko kaukana ulkomerellä, eli kaikenlaista veteen pudonnutta roinaa ajelehtii saaren rannoille.
3. Kuivatimme kalastusverkkoja mökin seinustalla.
