Tänään lähdimme Helsinkiin klo. 10:40. Matkalla ostettiin pähkinätuutit. Iltapäivällä lähdettiin saareen¹. Isä ja Pappa kävivät laskemassa verkot, ja minä uitin Ilmarista². Illalla mentiin nukkumaan³

Monday

Today we started our trip to Helsinki at 10:40am. During the trip we stopped and bought ice cream cones with nuts. In the afternoon we went to our island cottage¹. Dad and Grandpa went to lower the fishing nets, and I let the Ilmarinen² swim. In the evening we went to bed³

Pappa ja Isä kävivät verkoilla. Minä muistaakseni purjehdin¹ kumiveneellä. Piukulta hävisi päiväkirjan avain. Se löytyi illalla. Kauppalaivalta² ostimme päärynätuutit. Kävin juksaamassa turskia, sain 4, Isä 7, Pappa 1. Illalla pelattiin korttia.

Tuesday

Grandpa and Dad went to check the fishing nets. I sailed¹ in a rubber dinghy, if I remember correctly. Piukku lost the key to her diary. The key was found in the evening. From the ship shop² we bought pear-flavored ice cream cones. I went to cod jigging, I got 4, Dad 7, and Grandpa 1. In the evening we played cards.

2. Ilmarinen on siis tuo sama rakentamani laivan pienoismalli, jota aiemmin kutsuin nimellä Väinämöinen.
3. Heh.. Illalla usein mennään nukkumaan. :-) Teksti oli varmaan alun perin jatkunut, mutta olin sitten myöhemmin liimannut tuohon päälle kuvan perheestämme konfirmaatiotilaisuudessani.

2. Ilmarinen is the same model ship I had been working on with the original name of Väinämöinen.
3. Yeah, you usually go to bed in the evening. :-) I guess the text originally continued, but I had glued a picture of our family at my First Communion event on top of the text.

2. Kauppalaiva Christina pysähtyi saaren laiturissa kolme kertaa viikossa.

1. I had built a small sail into an ordinary rubber dinghy.
2. A small shopping ship stopped at the pier of the island three times a week.
