Mentiin Muster-Elnalle¹, ja Linnanmäelle: Narunveto, Ennätysten talo, Suihkio, Sähköautorata, Enterprise, Cortina Jet, Mustekala, Viikinki, Popcorn, kotiin². Sitten mentiin Seurasaareen. Rauni ja Nenne joutuivat lipunmyyjiksi.

Went to see Aunt Elna¹, and then to Linnanmäki: Tug-of-war, Record house, Suihkio, Bumper car track, Enterprise, Cortina Jet, Octopus, Viking, Popcorn, back to home². Then we went to Seurasaari. Rauni and Nenne were drafted to be ticket sale persons.

Maanantai

Käytiin aamulla Brunbergilla, ja ostettiin lakuja 2 kg ja riisisuklaata 1 kg. Mentiin Kallelle ja Allille¹, ja pelattiin Koronaa ja leikittiin Rubikin kuutiolla. Katsoimme TV:stä Äkkiä, viime kesänä.

Monday

In the morning went to the Brunberg chocolate shop, and bought 2 kg of licorice and 1 kg of rice chocolate. Went to see Kalle and Alli¹, and played some Korona² and played with a Rubik's cube. Watched Suddenly, Last Summer on the TV.

1. Muster-Elnaksi kutsuimme Pikku-mummun sisarta, eli siis isäni isoäidin sisarta.
2. "Koti" oli tässä tapauksessa isovanhempiemme asunto.

1. Aunt Elna was what we called the sister of Small-granny, that is, the sister of my father's grandmother.
2. "Home" in this case meaning our grandparent's place.
