Aamulla käytiin kaupoissa, ja n. klo 13:30 lähdettiin ajelemaan kotia kohti. Kotona syötiin Äidin poimimistaan mustikoista tekemää piirakkaa.

In the morning did some grocery shopping, and then at around 1:30pm started our road trip back towards home. At home we eat blueberry pie that Mother had made from blueberries she had picked herself.

Minä rakensin koeajopenkkiä¹ moottoriin. Iltapäivällä käytiin uimassa, ja illalla suunniteltiin minun huoneen sängyn tekemistä 2 metrin korkeuteen².

Wednesday

I built a test drive bench¹ for the model engine. In the afternoon we went swimming, and in the evening we planned how we were to build a sleeping platform into my room at 2 meters height².

1. Tällaiset pienet R/C -moottorit piti sisäänajaa ennen varsinaista käyttöä, ja se olisi helpointa tehdä moottori kiinnitettynä johonkin tukevaan penkkiin.
2. Asuimme vanhassa koulurakennuksessa, ja huoneeni oli rakennettu juhlasalin näyttämöön. Huonekorkeus oli yli 3,5 metriä, joten lattiatilaa säästyisi mukavasti jos sänky olisikin parvella.

1. Small R/C engines like this needed to be broken in. That would be easiest to do with the engine attached to some kind of a sturdy bench.
2. We lived in an old school building, and my room was built into the school's ballroom stage. The room was over 3.5 meters high, so it would save a lot of floor space if the bed was to be lifted up on a platform near the ceiling.
